What VidMints is

VidMints is a browser-based studio for making and finishing short video and image content, plus a downloader for saving media you own or have the rights to use. Everything runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install.

The studio brings a few things together in one place: generating video or images from a text prompt, editing and cleaning up what you make, adding captions or subtitles, turning speech into text, and exporting or downloading the result. You can use it for a quick one-off clip or as part of a repeatable content workflow.

Create your first video or image

The fastest way to see what VidMints does is to make something.

1. Open the AI video editor from the home page or the Help hub.

2. Describe what you want in plain language, or upload a clip or image you already have as a starting point.

3. Generate a first version, then refine it. You can regenerate, adjust the prompt, or hand it to the photo editor to crop, annotate, or clean up details.

4. Add captions or burned-in subtitles from the captions tool so the clip still reads with the sound off.

5. Export or download the finished file in the format you need.

Credits and what things cost

Actions that call an AI model, such as generating a video, generating images, or running speech-to-text, are the ones most likely to use credits. Straightforward editing and downloading media you already have are lighter-weight by comparison. If you run out of credits mid-task, you can review your usage and upgrade from the billing area of your account.

Downloading responsibly

The downloader is for saving content you created in VidMints or that you otherwise own or have the rights to use. It is not a tool for taking other people's copyrighted work without permission. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you download.

Downloads run as background jobs rather than as a single long request, so a large or slow download will not simply hang your browser. You start a download, VidMints processes it, and the finished file is served to you when it is ready. Larger files naturally take longer.

Limitations and troubleshooting

A few practical things are worth knowing up front so nothing catches you by surprise.

Downloads from some external platforms, such as YouTube or Instagram, can require the site operator to configure additional access such as cookies or a proxy. When that configuration is missing or a platform changes its rules, some downloads from those sources may temporarily fail even though the tool itself is working. If a specific platform will not download, try again later or try a source you have direct access to.

If a download seems stuck, give it time: the file may still be processing in the background. If it errors out, retry once, confirm the link is correct and public, and check that you still have the rights and any credits the task needs.

If generation results are not what you expected, refine your prompt with more specific detail and regenerate rather than settling for the first attempt. For editing, remember you can pass a result between the editor, photo editor, and captions tools instead of trying to do everything in one step.
